MATCHLESS

Many of the Matchless singles employ crankpins that have very small shank or press fit diameters. All Crankpins supplied by Alpha Bearings benefit from a two piece design with the exceptions of "Lightweight" models and the original "conversion" bearing for the G50. Alpha Bearings has for many years offered a service of re-boring the crankpin holes and manufacturing a much more substantial crankpin. Although there are significant improvements in using a two piece crankpin the flywheel design is not considered to be invincible.
